John WHITE Obituary
John died peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, aged 77. Much loved dad of Jo, grandad of Otis and Romilly, husband of Robin (deceased), brother of Joyce and Gerry, father-in-law of Scott, brother-in-law of Janice, Allie and John (deceased). Loving partner of Rachel. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice would be gratefully received. For the livestream link please email [email protected] before Sunday. A celebration of John's life will be held at Old St Paul's, 34 Mulgrave Street, Pipitea, Wellington on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 10.00am.

I remember John as having an intellectually questing mind and an erudite and eloquent way of expressing himself. His company was always stimulating and he was keen to educate and thereby change the world for the better.

Dear Jo, Scott, Otis and Romilly, Our loving thoughts are with you all. Jo, your dad was an inspiring powerhouse of ideas and convictions, with a lovely smile and a constant interest in the world around him. He must have been so proud of you all. We think of him and of your mum every time we're in the bush. They were way ahead of their time. We treasure our memories of how they welcomed us to the neighbourhood. Lots of love.

To Joyce & Gerry, very sorry to read of John's passing. I can think back to our school days in Geraldine when you lived up the road from us. I know we all a great time both at school and after school. Wonderful life. Joyce and Gerry have often thought and wondered where all us from Talbot St ended up.
