Sad to hear of cousin John's passing. The loss of John brings fond memories to me of our childhood at Timaru and Arowhenua. Me staying with the family at Waimataitai while my mother was in hospital and John staying with us for quite a time while Auntie Eileen was ill with TB.
Our school days at Marist were significant. Great teachers. Bros Denis, Jarlath, Kieran, Emilian and Austin gave us many learning and sporting opportunities. Nice to think back to those early times of our lives and then to catch up later after being out of touch for many years. Look back with love. God's blessing to you all at this sad time. John and Margaret Dwyer, Matamata.

Our condolences to Noleen & Family on the loss of John. A loved Husband , Dad and Grandad. John loved his associations with Ex Royal Navelmen´s
over the years which included my late dad Stan Brookland. And had a great day each Anzac Day with a lot of stories to tell. We all grew up on Pages Rd and Lindsay St and had fun times.
John was a character who loved his family dearly.
Rest in peace John.

On behalf of my father Peter Tutty I would like to offer condolences on the loss of John. They enjoyed each other's company and frequently went fishing together. Dad would often go and talk to John when he was visiting mum who was there also. On one occasion dad made up a fishing rod for your dad from a skewer and hung a chocolate fish off it. Your dad enjoyed that and had a laugh. John is at peace now.
