Passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on Monday, April 29, 2024. Son of the late Frank and Dorothy. Loved husband of Barbara. Loved father of Terry (dec), Jolene (dec), and Melissa. Loved brother of Leo, Dennis, and Kevin and Glenda. Loved granddad of Brodie, Abby, and Gracie. Brother-in-law of Katy. Loved uncle and mentor of Stanley, and Rosie. A celebration of John's life will be held on Friday, May 3 at 1.00pm, at Betts Funeral Services, 33 North Street, Timaru. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice South Canterbury would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to the McGartland Family, C/o PO Box 772, Timaru 7940.
