John MATHIAS Obituary

To Jacqui and the family, I extend my heartfelt condolences to you all at this terribly sad time.
After visiting John on Wednesday August 6th, it has come as a real blow to learn of his unexpected passing.
He was a good man whom I was proud to have called my friend. RIP John.

Sending love to you all on the passing of John- we loved our visits to your family in Dunedin, and then hearing all about your family when I saw you in Timaru in later years, he was incredibly proud of you all, and so interested in what everyone was doing.

Hi johns family
I guess all good things eventually come to an end,
I knew john from healthy soils days although we often disagreed John always fought for fair and equal
To say he always acknowledged a point of view and sometimes would agree to disagree
Then we would have a beer and start the next day fresh
I admired Johns tenacity he was always true to hos words

Rest in peace we all miss u

Condolences to John´s family. Enjoyed my conversations with John especially about the Dunedin days as he knew my uncle Evan and cousin Stephen Higgs from their business dealings.
