Our love and care to Lynnette and family. We met John through 202F Lions - a true gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour - enjoyed so much the time we spent with John and Lynnette - he will be greatly missed by so many.

Thinking of you Lynnette at this sad time and miss seeing you in timaru. Met John when I worked in simu Blenheim and later with ami in Gore when John was in Invercargill. Always enjoyed his company and will be sadly missed.

Lynette and family please accept our deepest sympathy in John's passing and we acknowledge the work he did for Hospice South Canterbury.

Farewell to a fun colleague and workmate at SIMU many years ago. Always a smile and supportive, even the odd prank. RIP John.

Such a good friend and neighbour in Greymouth days. On our moving day everyone and everything had gone and I was left alone struggling to clean up when dear John arrived on his way home from work. Still in his good work clothes, he rolled up his sleeves and cleaned and vacuumed until every room was spotless. This is kindness you never forget. Valerie

Im really sorry to hear of Johns passing. John was a kind and gentle soul. I recall always talking about painting which we both loved. I will miss him dearly.

I am sorry to hear of John's passing and have very clear memories when Ron and I were involved with your group in Lions. A particular memory was the combination of Doggett and Doake.

You were more than a volunteer - you were a Lion in every sense of the word. Whether it was rolling up your sleeves for a working bee, lending a hand at an event, or offering quiet encouragement to those around you, your presence made a difference.

John was a man of action and heart. He served not for recognition, but because he cared. About people. About community. About doing the right thing.
