John BALLAM Obituary
John passed away February 21, 2022, at St. Helenas Rest Home, Christchurch where he was staying while under going radiation treatment. He was in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Lorna. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Florence (dec), Ritchie (dec) and Fay, Margaret and Harry Chandler (dec), Eileen and Bill Brown (dec), Charlie (dec) and Shirley, and June and Bob Armstrong (dec). Much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews, especially Jude and Rob Dunnill, and Ian and Jan Ballam and their families. Dear friend of Diane and Moray Sutherland. Special thanks to the staff at Elloughton Gardens. A Memorial Service to celebrate John's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, This Day, Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 2.00pm. The family have chosen up to 100 attendees, therefore Vaccination Passes will be required. A livestream of the service is available, please email your interest to [email protected]. John and Lorna were dear friends of my parents, Derek and Tricia, for many years and were staying with me in Wellington when my son was born so they were his adopted 'grandparents' too. RIP John, you are now back with Lorna

So sorry to read of John's passing. He and Lorna were a lovely couple we were so lucky to meet and remain friends through buying their house in Timaru. RIP John. Love and thoughts to entire extended family. Brett and Anne Jenkins. Lake Hawea.
