Jill UNDERDOWN Obituary

It is with sadness that we advise that our champion meringue and club sandwich maker, collected her Angel Wings, with Alison and Sandee by her side, at Strathallan Lifecare, Timaru on July 2, 2025. Aged 87. Dearly loved wife of the late Jim, much loved and cherished Mum to Alison and Sandee; and "Basil" to the late Bob. Loved and very special Grandma to: Emma and Sam; Renae and Lucinda; Holly and Kyal: and Georgia and André. Very special "GG" to: Mackenzie and Matilda; Ruby and Audrey. Alison and Sandee would like to thank the caring medical and nursing team at Strathallan Lifecare. In accordance with Jill's wishes a private cremation has been held. Messages to the Underdown Girls, c/- 6 Jellicoe Street, Timaru.

To Alison and Sandee and all the Underdown extended family.

Our Deepest condolences to you all on Jill's passing. She was never one to hold back, what a breath of fresh air she was. A lovely caring personality, a lady of distinction with a brand of humility and actions that was so appreciated by the many young Star cricketers that Jim and Jill hosted and entertained through a golden period in our lives. Special times, Special people we are the fortunate ones, and better off for having experienced friendship and integrity.
