Dear Mum,
I'm sorry I couldn't be with you & all your loved ones to take part in your final farewell due to the pandemic we are currently facing.
I know you would have been so proud of everyone, it just shows what an amazing job you have done in raising us all.
You certainly lived a colourful life, "never a dull moment" you would say. Bringing up so many children who have all grown into fine adults due to the dedication of you, our Mum.
Being the oldest I saw first hand what a great mother you were. I have vivid memories of helping you with the weekly baking, one of my favourite jobs was of course to lick the beaters!
I also remember how you tirelessly taught me to knit & how I loved to make booties which always came in handy!! Remember how I made everyone striped leg warmers & you lined us all up for photos!!
There was also your love of animals which you shared with us, we grew up with pets but we weren't always the best at cleaning up after them so you always seemed to end up doing that job!
You also gave us the gift of having Grandma living with us. She was always eager to tell us a story about you when you were growing up, she was so proud, both as a Mother & a Grandmother.
I hope you realise what a fantastic job you have done on this earth in your time here & you take all our love with you as you leave us in body but forever in our thoughts
Till we meet again
Love always
Carolyn
