Dear Mark and Trish, dear families, we are so sorry for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. With sincere sympathy.

Dear Laming and Walsh families,
We are so deeply saddened by Jane's passing. We have very fond memories of Jane as a student in the Department of Geography at Otago University. She was a really vibrant and clever student. She was also a tireless and inspiring tutor to so many of our undergraduates. I personally highly valued being able to work with her. Our hearts go out to you.

I was devastated to learn of Jane's accident and her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all particularly tomorrow when it is time to say goodbye. It was a pleasure to have worked with Jane in Christchurch. I watched with pride her progress after her move to Timaru. She was indeed a very special person.
