James YOUNG Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Timaru Hospital, on May 25, 2025; aged 97. Beloved husband of the late Heather. Loving and much loved father and father-in-law of David Young and Kellie Menzies, Robert, Nola Turner and Sid Keen, Catherine; and Jan Young. Cherished Pa to Kelsi and Andy, and Steffi and Steve. Loved Pa Pa to Chase, McKinley, Bryley, Sacha, and Jasper. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Jean and the late Noel Allison, the late John and Norma Young, Cis and Russell Frew, Nancy and Jack Nichol, Keith and Muriel Young, Bill and Betty Young, Dick and Nancy Young, Betty and Andrew Carruthers, Joy and Bruce Suttie, Nina and Gordon Murray. Loved brother-in-law of Margaret Sandri, Barbara Abernethy, and the late Beryl Horton. Jim's farewell will be held at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 58 Shearman Street, Waimate, on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 1.00pm, followed by internment at the Waimate Cemetery and gathering at the Waimate Town & Country Club.
