We never met Grant but I felt I knew you and your family through your parents Betty and Laurie. We were special friends for many years and I know you and Tua did so much for them both in their latter years.
Thinking of you Tua and all your family. God bless.

I only worked with Grant in the same team for a short period, but on meeting him immediately felt his gentle nature and calm presence. He will be so missed by all that loved, knew and worked with him. Aroha and thoughts to all of Grant's whanau at this sad time xxx

Bobbi so great to meet you and Corey and Brooklyn on the Dashing Rocks and so sad to hear of your Dads fatal accident when we quite amazingly met on the Dashing Rocks. Quite a jump into the future from when I taught you Maths at Craighead. I think a meeting like this is a gift from God who says I love you Bobbie and all your whanau and am with you all at this time of loss. Big hugs from Jan and I.

I worked with Grant for 25 years and most of that time as his boss. Grant was a kind, caring and gentle man who liked straight talking and not too much fluffy stuff! Grant was a calm and reassuring person who had a real talent for putting people at ease. I have shared many laughs and great times with Grant throughout his career at MSD. I had so much time and respect for him and our Timaru office just won't be the same without him. He leaves a massive whole in our hearts and our team. Tua, Bobbi and the rest of the whanau I send you my love and best wishes, we will never forget him xxx

Grant and I joined the New Zealand Police at the same time and we walked the beat on the windy streets of Invercargill in the late 1970´s.
We had some fun times, socially, at rugby and as young keen cops.
Grant was a shrewd operator which saw him selected for special duties. Although these duties may have been career and life changing, you should reflect and be proud of the success he had at making New Zealand a better place at that time.
Although we may not have met up for many years, the Police brotherhood is strong and we are all saddened of his early passing. I have messaged other colleagues from that era and we all pass our condolences and fondly remember the nice guy he was.
Kindest regards

I didn´t work with Grant for long, and only met him a handful of times, but from what I´ve known from the few encounters we´ve had, he was a very humble and caring man. My thoughts and prayers go out to his beautiful whanau at this difficult time. May he rest in love. Me tangi, kapa ko te mate i te marama.
