Gaynor ELLIS Obituary

At Christchurch Hospital on Friday, October 20, 2023. Loved mother of Monique and mother-in-law of Jason Nelson. Grandmother of Charlotte and Olivia. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Tony and Lois Ellis (Amberley), Rosalie (Australia), and the late Trevor. The Service celebrating Gay's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel 160 Mountain View Road Timaru on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 1.00pm, followed by the interment at Hakataramea Cemetery. Many thanks to Adriel House, Amberley for the care and support given to Gay. Messages to: 20B Armagh Street, Christchurch 8013.

So sorry to hear of Gay's passing. She was my midwife when I had my eldest 19 years ago. She was like an extension to our family at the time and for some time after. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out. I will remember Gay with the fondest of memories. Thinking of you all

Have some super memories of cousin Gaynor - from when we were very young, staying together at our Grandparents in Hampden- we both also attended Waitaki Girls High School, and in recent years I used to pop into Geraldine to visit her as I travelled back & forth from Chch to Oamaru -- I will miss those chats n visits - Remembered with real affection X

I'm very sorry to read of gay passing.
gay was my midwife for my 3rd baby in geraldine maternity hospital, the pines .

Monique my sincere sympathy to you and your family also Tony. I have known Gay for many years having both lived at Haka. I used to teach her at Bible Class. Gay was also a very valued member of Rosie´s recycled clothing in Geraldine. She was diligent and only ever ready to help. Blessings and comfort to you all
