Felicity DOBELL-BROWN Obituary

On 7 January 2024, aged 72, after a long and harrowing illness, Felicity passed away peacefully with her husband Jeff at her side.
Loved wife of Jeff Drabble and loved mother of Anna and Nicola Drabble, who supported and helped Felicity through her years of illness. Sister and sister-in-law of Phillip (dec'd) and Margaret, sister of Stephen and daughter of Dr Stephen Dobell-Brown (dec'd) and Dr Loraine Dobell-Brown (dec'd). Daughter-in-law of Allan Drabble (dec'd) and of Terry Longley and Rua Longley (both dec'd). Sister-in-law of Wyn and Judith Drabble, and Shann and Monique Longley. Loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her wonderful friends, who stuck with her and helped ease her difficult last years. Felicity had a lifelong love of horses and has passed this on to her daughters and to many pony club members, who she taught and encouraged. She quietly helped manage and stage a range of equestrian events and was a long-time dressage judge. The family is very proud of her achievements in this regard. A celebration of Felicity's life will be held at 213 Waimarama Road on Saturday, 3 February 2024 at 11.00am, and everyone is welcome. The interment of ashes will take place during this ceremony. It will be an outdoor event; however, if the weather is unco-operative, we will move to an indoor location at the same address.
