Ezekiel GARNER Obituary

GARNER, Ezekiel (Zeke):
Zeke, aged 8, was welcomed into Heaven on Sunday, February 26, 2023, after a short 6.5 week battle with cancer. He spent those weeks at home surrounded by his parents, Cameron and Lydia, brothers, Josiah, Clay, and Toby, and grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins. There will be a celebration of his life at Caroline Bay Hall at 10.30am, on Thursday, March 2, 2023. The service will be livestreamed via the following link www.betts.co.nz/livestream. In lieu of flowers now, please love on the family in the difficult weeks and months to come.

EZEKIEL,
We never met here on earth but I look forward to meeting you in heaven. I just saw your memorial service on YouTube. Your family loves you very much from the looks of it and raised a smart young man who loves Jesus. I know you´re with him now watching your family from heaven. God Bless the family and friends.

We´ve cried for you, prayed for you and grieved for you. Know that the Ray family in China loves you and is bringing your family before the Lord. We´re praying for His grace and peace to be upon you. Zeke is an example to us and his life, though short, was precious and valued! Love much, Neal and Beth Ray and Kids!

Though Zeke´s journey was short here, it is clear he lived a big life in that time. He was loved and cherished, and most importantly, he was shown Jesus the true joy-giver. My heart aches for your loss and my prayers are with you. "For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."

Zooming down the hill, fearless, on the balance bike in West End Park. I had my heart in my mouth hoping he wouldn´t break himself on my watch! The best of cheeky grins and singing the song that he learned from Lydia while at home school. The song was about the books of the Bible if I remember correctly. He was so pleased he remembered it so well. He was always caring and nurturing of my children.
