Edwin DAWSON Obituary

Eddie's family wish to thank everybody who supported them at the time of his sudden passing. To those who attended his funeral to share the celebration of his life, although we did not manage to speak to you all, your presence was much appreciated. For the cards, masses, flowers, food, visits, telephone calls, and our understanding work colleagues we were extremely grateful. Special thanks to Celtic Rugby Football Club for the use of their clubrooms and hall and to the members who served refreshments. We also acknowledge Julian and staff at Betts Funeral Services and celebrant Jo Taylor for their professionalism and assistance at this sad time.

My deepest condolences to Carol and family for your sudden loss. My fondest memories of Jethro was many years ago in Leeston, as a neighbour and playing as his locking mate in the Leeston seniors team. He always gave his all in the many struggles we had with opposition teams, at times giving me a lift when needed. He was a great and valued team man. Time is moving much faster now and I just wish Jed could have had more time to enjoy retirement years, he certainly deserved them. Rest in peace Jed, you will be sadly missed. Lyndon Nairn.
