Edgar Thiers Palmer:
(Late of Lilydale, Fairlie) 627036 J. Force. On January 5, 2016, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Grace Anne (Nan). Loved and respected father and father-in-law of Donald and Barbara Bray, Roseanne and Andrew Hall, Janet Bray and Mark Milke, Jillian and Brian Dean, and the late Moira. Dearly loved Grandad and Edgar of Lauren, Justin and Charlotte, and Roland; Jeremy, Sophie, and Roderick. A much loved great-grandfather. The family would like to acknowledge the dedication and support of the many people who have cared for Edgar over recent months. Donations to St Johns Ambulance would be appreciated and may be made at the service. The Funeral Service will be held atthe John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, Christchurch, on Saturday, January 9, at 10.00am, followed by burial at the Fairlie Cemetery, at aproximately 3.00pm.

I was saddened to hear of Uncle Edgar's passing. Our thoughts are with you all. Wish I could be there. Olwyn and Gary.
"To be young and fit and keen, alone in a mountain world with only the skyline beyond: what a life for a young man," a shepherd voiced. Uncle Edgar always loved the hills.
