Duncan SMITH Obituary
On Sunday, April 3, 2022, very peacefully at Lister Home, Waimate. Aged 95. Very dearly loved husband of the late Margaret and most dearly loved father and father-in-law of Chris Garland, Malcolm and Sue Smith, and Jan and Eric Waissi. Dearly loved Pop of Matthew and Anna Smith, Tamsyn and Paul Morunga, John Garland, Hamish and Jo Garland, and Anna and Phil Taylor. Great-Pop of Keelyn, Jade and Jack, Olivia, Abby and Heath, Soren and Beatrix, and Willa and Ruby. Beloved brother of Betty Nevin. A service celebrating Duncan's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 11 John Street, Waimate, on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 1.30pm, followed by interment in the Waimate Public Cemetery. To all Duncan's family. I am sad to hear of his passing. I have memories of a holiday with Margaret and Duncan many years ago. My mother, Madge Stevenson , was always keen to visit Margaret and Duncan. Following Margaret passing away I took Mum to Waimate several times for a day out and she always wanted to visit him.
