Retired Midwife
Our beloved Dawn passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Treasured wife of Lyall. Much-loved mum of Chris and Brett, Ginny and Mark, Ange and Steve. Adored Nana Dawn to Emma and Mark, Hannah, Ben and Courtnie, Matthew, Tegan and Gracyn. Deeply loved by her great-grandchildren Leila, Arlo and August.

She will be missed beyond words.

A celebration of Dawn's life will be held in the Croft Centennial Chapel, 2 Osborne Place (off Queens Drive), Lower Hutt, on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 1.00pm. Those unable to attend Dawn's service you can view the livestream through the Croft Funeral Home website.

Sorry to hear of Dawn's passing. She trained as a nurse with my sister Irene Mclean, who is now in care also. There were 6 of them who trained together and became very special friends to this day. As Irene's youngest sister, I heard many tales and saw many photos of the antics these 6 would get up to.
I remember meeting Dawn on a few occasions. Lovely lady with a beautiful smile.
