To all the family, please accept our deepest sympathy in the sad loss of David. Playing soccer in the good old days with him was just so much fun. Brian and Joan Gosney - Melbourne, and the Gordon family from Leckie Street Timaru.

A truly top bloke. A good laugh who put a smile on many faces. Pud may have left the building but his memory lives on. One of Yorkshire's top exports.

Our loving thoughts go out to David's family.
We will always remember David for his sense of humour, his talents as a singer, and for being the dedicated, loving husband, dad and granddad that he was. Also a wonderful friend to many.
David, you never once complained, even though we knew at times you had a right to. A true Yorkshire man.
Sleep well dear friend.

One of a kind, Dave was a naturally funny man who never lost his sense of humour right to the end. They will be laughing in heaven now. Fly free my friend.

I remember when I was young playing soccer for Geraldine against the Heart Attacks in the late 70's. The lessons taught on the field by what we thought then were a bunch of grumpy old men were simply lessons in the art of playing football. Rest in peace Dave.
