Earlier today

To Subina, Mark, Hayley, Nick and families. So sorry to read of Strachany's passing. A SC rugby legend obviously but just such a great man overall. He was a constant with our rep rugby team in the late 90s and early 2000s - his commitment and humour were weekly highlights. Rest easy now Strachany, you deserve to. RIP Bryan. Huge love and thoughts with you all, Brett Jenkins.

Bryans and Subinas Children in the day went to West Primary School. I remember going on a school camp as a parent help with Bryan for nearly a week. It was an amazing experience. Bryans humor made it a great time. I remember one game of Pictionary that was a riot lol. So sad to read of his passing. For him his family and close friends. God bless such a kind and friendly man.

To Subina, Mark and the extended Strachan family, please accept our sincere sympathies in the very sad loss of Bryan. Having known Bryan for many years, I can say he was truly a gentleman who was a great stalwart of Pareora RFC and of course, South Canterbury, where he served many years in administration. Always respected for his considered comments, Bryan epitomised what it is to be a great rugby man. Colleen & Murray Roberts.
