Uncle Brian, your great neice Allie here. I wish I could be there in person to celebrate the wonderful man you were in person but I will be tuning in online from Christchurch. Your bright eyed smile, full bodied belly laugh that demanded the room and incredible way with words and knowledge on what seemed like all things are just some of the many great attributes that spring to mind when I think of you. Your presence at our whanau get togethers will absolutely be missed. Love you always, Allie , Aaron, Matiu and Kaimana xx.

Sad to read of Brian´s passing. He was a much loved teacher of mine at Waimate Main in my final year. We had a soft spot for each other and I have never forgotten him.
He would have laughed to know I now play the ukulele as he did for our class way back then.
Some teachers leave a lasting impression to their students and Brian certainly did for me.
Sympathy to the family.
