Sincere condolences to the Daly family.
Although we hadn't seen Brian a lot over the years (mainly due to not living in South Canterbury for over 40 years), I have memories when he took me in his VW & he liked to demonstrate his driving antics doing wheelies, it was a lot of fun.
Brian was a very sincere person who helped out in the community and was extremely caring and kind and will be missed especially by his family.

I first met Brian when my Mother moved into the resthome 18 or so months ago . I enjoyed my chats with Brian usually catching up with him in the corridor before visiting Mum who was a couple of rooms along from Mum. Brian was a very likeable fellow who will be missed by me and many others . Rest easy Brian

I first met Brain when my friend Terry went into the rest home, I thought he would not settle in. But thanks to Brian who made Terry welcome and became a friend to Terry. I think that was the only reason he settle down in the rest home. One when came home for a visit he told me that he had a good friend at his new place.
I know Carmel named Saint Brian, for all the help he gave the other residents at the rest home

To the Daly Family please accept my sincere condolences in the loss of Brian. My memories of Brian go back to my childhood I can remember he was a great Tractor & Car Operator, on more than a few occasions he caused quite a stir with his antics and daredevil stunts, like misjudged a loading ramp as a road and the car flew through the air, many a time doing 2 wheel turns at the bottom of McEwan's Hill turning on to Pleasant Valley Road. When Dominion Motors back in the day launched the new Leyland Tractor as the evening progressed and everyone had few to many beers Brian hopped on the Tractor and did sharp turns on the showroom floor.! In later years I enjoyed catching up with Brian when back in Timaru. Brian was a thoughtful and sincere person and always concerned for other peoples welfare and happiness.
