Brenda Marie (nee Miller):
Peacefully at Hospice South Canterbury on December 14, 2020, aged 66 years. Loved daughter of Harry and Marion Miller (deceased), youngest sister of Valerie and the late Allan Daem (Canada), Mavis (Australia) and Kevin (Canada). Loved auntie of Tui, Lisa, Rebecca, Marc, and Harlen, and loved great-auntie of Rose, Sabrina and Dillan. Dearly loved wife of Brian Te Koeti, cherished mother and mother-in-law of Athena and Shaun, Thalia and Stan, Theon and Paula, and most loved nana of Tia. Much loved sister-in-law of Heather and Chris, Dorothy, Hazel and the late Gareth, Grant Bates, Steven Kerr, and Chris Taylor. Loved auntie of Adrian, Reuben, Dylan, Qedric, Emlyn, Ruby, Leah, and Sarah. Loved great-auntie to Silver, Mackenzie, Francesca, and Lydia. Loved best friend of Elaine McPhee. A Service celebrating the life of Brenda Te Koeti will be held at 2.00pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at St Alban's Parish, Pleasant Point. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice South Canterbury would be greatly appreciated and may be left at the service. A link to Brenda's service is

Dear Athena and family, so sorry to hear of your Mum's death. Many times I remember coming to your house when we were in primary and high school and in my mind she is still so young and healthy. Almost impossible to believe all those years ago that we would both lose our Mum's within 4 months of each other. Love and strength to you all. Xx

Brenda was a special lady, and I will always appreciate the kindness and love she shared with our very young family in years gone by.

Heartfelt condolences for Brenda's passing. Her spirit will live on in our memories of her.
Brenda was my childhood friend and lifelong pen pal. She also became a treasured Facebook friend. We shared the same sense of humour, love of books, appreciation for things in nature, and general outlook on life. I'll miss her more than words can say.

I loved getting to know Brenda better during my time at Pleasant Point Primary. Seeing the love from the students towards Brenda was only a small reflection of her "Amazingness". I know Brenda will be greatly missed but I also know that as a family you will continue to share her love. I am so sorry to not be able to be there on Thursday but I send love and prayers to Brian and all the family, and will be remembering fondly the laughs shared with Brenda. God Bless
