Billie PARKER Obituary

Aged 86, of 19 Maude St, Waimate, sadly passed away April 5, 2024. Dearly loved wife of Bill Parker (deceased) of Parker's Corner. Former Psychotherapist (Waimate/Timaru), former Matron (Waimate Hospital), former ER Nurse (Harlem, New York). Daughter of Stewart and Murtle Guthrie, sister of Brian (deceased). Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt and great-aunt.
One-time adventurer, avid world traveller, lover of fine red wine, bluff oysters and Michelin-starred fare, Cliff Richard and Andrew Mehrtens fan, and devoted friend to many. A service to celebrate Billie's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 11 John Street, Waimate, on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the NZ Red Cross would be appreciated and may be left at the service. I have missed our phonecalls and often wondered where you were after being unable to contact you when covid flared.Our parents were lifelong friends then the friendship continued with you,you even had to bring BILL to little Gore to marry him.special memories.
