Barry GOODMAN Obituary
On Monday, July 18, 2022; aged 79 years. Dearly loved husband of Jennifer (Jenny). Loved father and father-in-law of Lyndon and Karen, Victoria and Craig Hardacre, Rachael and Michael Skudder, and Robert and Lara. Treasured Grandad Barry to Liam and Jen, Nicole and Dan, Jack, Abby and Alex. Loved son of the late Arthur and Mary. Brother and brother-in-law of June and Bill Campbell, David and Bev, Daphne and Owen Costley, Jo and Wally Hand (all dec); Brian (dec) and Gay, Donald and Margot, and Richard (dec). The Goodman Family wish to thank all the staff at the Croft for their love and care of Barry over the last 4 years. The Service celebrating Barry's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11.00am, followed by interment at Timaru Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A livestream of the service is available, please email

I worked with Barry at the Point Railway - a lovely guy with a great sense of humour. I always enjoyed working alongside him on running days and at working bees, and the rides in the Bentley that he'd give me.

On that drive to Mt Cook in the Bentley, It was hilarious roaring along two in the front, three in the back and overtaking a Mt Cook bus in the dust when none of us could see a thing in front, apart from the bus. Great memories. Thank you Barry
