Peacefully at Timaru Hospital on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in her 91st year. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Ann Thornton and Barry Cain. Very loving Granny of Jeremy and Tineke Thornton, Lydia Thornton-Smith, and Jonathan Guy. Loved great-granny of Astin, Taylor, Cole (Caris), and Elise. Loved aunty of Hugh and Pauline Burton and a very dear friend of Tony and Cricket. "The Wombat Lady". At Barbara's Request a private service will be held.
