Barbara Valmai (Val)
(formerly Westgarth):
Passed away peacefully with Jane holding her hand at the Croft, Timaru, on Monday, July 4, 2022, in her 97th year. Dearly loved wife of the late (Jock) John Westgarth and the late Eric Hampton. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Stuart and Ann, Bruce and Rosa, Peter and Anne (both deceased), Jane McCoy and Eion and Susan. Adored Grandma of her 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service to celebrate Val's life will be held at the Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 1.30pm. All my memories of Auntie Val are very happy ones and go back to the late 1950s when we stayed on the Westgarth farm during the school holidays it must have been a very busy household but they were happy times for us.
Sorry I can´t be at the service on Wednesday but my thoughts are with all her family at this sad time. Paula Abbott x
