Anne MUNRO Obituary

Peacefully, with her family, at home on January 22, 2026; aged 67 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Philip. Caring and supportive mother and mother-in-law of Simon (dec), Olivia and Scott. Proud and much-adored Gran of Taylor, and April. Cherished daughter of Les and Evelyn Brenssell. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Pete and Lyn, Sue and Roger Lane, Matt and Tracy, a generous aunty and loyal friend to many. The family sincerely thank the Fairlie Medical Centre and District Nurses for the care, kindness, and compassion shown to Anne in her final days. In accordance with Anne's wishes, a private service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations of native seedlings would be appreciated as a way to honour Anne's legacy and her lifelong role as a custodian of the land. Messages to: 483 Waratah Road, RD17, Fairlie 7987.

Earlier today

My sincere sympathies to Annes family and friends.

Although, I never met Anne, I did correspond with her directly, via email, on a number of occassions after she was successfully elected MDC´s mayor.

Annes integrity and responsiveness, in what was then especially challenging times for MDC, was most certainly appreciated and valued from my weathered perspective.

Sincerely,

Mike Dobson
