Andrew POPE Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Lady Wigram Hospital, on Friday, September 22, 2023. Dearly loved husband of Toni. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of James and Sarah, and Sarah. Dearly loved brother of Barbara, brother-in-law of Morrell and uncle of Anna, Duncan and families. Adored grandad of his six grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate Andrew's life will be held at Betts Funeral Services, 33 North Street, Timaru, on Saturday, September 30 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and can be left at the service. Messages to: the Pope Family, c/-PO Box 772, Timaru 7940..

Went to Primary School with with Andrew and caught up on the odd occasion in later years. Sad to hear of this. Condolences.

We are so very sorry to hear of Andrew's passing. We hold wonderful memories from our trip many years ago to New Zealand to meet and visit with the whole Pope/Scott Family! Andrew was a wonderful tour guide as He and Toni took us to Queenstown for a short visit. We were again lucky to have a visit with Andrew, Toni, James and Sarah this time in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada! Though at a great distance, we were happy to keep in touch with Christmas cards and a letter/e-mail now and again. Our deepest sympathies to the whole Family.

I worked for Andrews Dad Gordon Pope, and a long side Andrew who worked on the Guilotine, and we became good friends so sad fo r his family, he was a great husband and Dad Rest with our father in Heaven.Amen.
