Albert WEAVERS Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we share that George passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025 at home in Temuka, surrounded by love. In his 86th year. Dearly loved and cherished husband of the late Betty for 60 years. Adored and respected father and father-in-law of Graeme and Lesley (Auckland), Ken and Anna (Temuka), Kathryn (Auckland), and Jo Metcalf (Ashburton). Cherished Grandad of Savannah, and Shiloh; Ally, Dean and Rachel, and Megan; Cassidy, and Quinn. We would like to give special thanks to Four Peaks Health and Palliative Care Nurses for their wonderful care. Messages to: The Weavers Family, c/- PO Box 6035, Ashburton 7742.

For this one farmer the worries are over, lie down and rest your head,
Your time has been and struggles enough, put the tractor in the shed.

A private service to celebrate George's life will be held. All those that wish to join the family in remembrance of George – the man, the myth, the legend, are welcome for refreshments and a sharing of memories at 1 North Town Belt, Temuka, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 3.00pm onwards.

George was an amazing man. He worked hard and kept an amazing garden. Will also be remembered for his house decorations at Christmas time. His house inside and out was amazing. George and Betty had a real passion for doing that.
