1931-2023. On Sunday, September 3, 2023 quietly in Christchurch, under the kind and compassionate care of the staff at Anthony Wilding Village. Much loved, respected and admired dad and father in-law of David (dec), Jenny and Vance (Christchurch), Mary and Kim (Poolburn), Meg and Dave (Pohara). Loved grandad and Grandad Alan of Ruben and Heather, Noah, Quinn and Senna; Summar and Sam; Broc and Georgia. Brandon and Sarah, Bella and George; Samara and Ben, Jack, Tessa, Jed, and Tom; Rachel and Cam and Frank. A loved son of the late Jim and Nellie Stowell, and a loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Dad was a special man; and a special friend to many. You are welcome to attend a funeral service for dad, to be held at St Mary's Church, 95 Church Hill Road, Otaio on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 1.00pm. To Alan´s family sincere condolences on the loss of such a great man. Alan used to come into the Doncaster Hotel when he lived at Levels. In later times I would catch up on what he was up to when he fuelled up at Caltex Washdyke.Sad to hear of his passing. RIP Alan a true inspiration
