Alan JONES Obituary
Passed away unexpectedly at home, with his family, on May 25, 2019, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband for 62 years of Toni. Adored father of his six daughters, Elizabeth (deceased), Marg, Nic, Jack, Ginnie, and Katie. Respected father-in-law of Brian, Dave, Thames, Ross, and Matt. Treasured Grandad and Pop of Georgie, Sammie, and Nicholas; Charlotte; Jess, Laura, Olivia, Anna, and Bella; Jack, Ben, and Gracie; and Tom, Charlie, and Lucy. A great-grandad of Malik, and Yusuf; and Albie. Messages may be addressed to The Jones Family, c/- PO Box 36067, Merivale, Christchurch 8052. In accordance with his wishes, a private service in celebration of Hugh's life was held on May 31, 2019.

So sorry to hear about the untimely death of Al and Kate. Al was one of my dad's oldest friends, and he and Kate (and their family) were fantastic hosts when we visited Sydney a number of years ago. It was lovely to see them more recently over in the UK and to be able to return some of the hospitality even though our house was a building site at the time!
