VAESSEN, Johanna Alida (Ann, Annie) (nee de Veld). Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Hastings, to be with Jesus, on March 30, 2024. Cherished and adored wife of the late Wim for 62 years. Lieve Mamma of Michelle and Calvin Robinson, Robert and Helen Vaessen, Jacqueline and Peter Grapes, Monique and Dan Haliday, José and Paul McGoverne, Angelique Vaessen and Andrew White. Precious Oma to 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and 3 more on their way. Loved eldest sister. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Society of St Vincent de Paul would be gratefully appreciated and may be left at the service. Requiem Mass for Johanna will be celebrated at St Patrick's Church, 4 Munroe Street, Napier on Saturday April 6 at 9.30am, followed by interment at Western Hills Cemetery.
