Love and best thoughts to Anne, Michael, Chris and their families at this very sad time. Aunty Doreen was a wonderful person who always had a kind word to say, and always had the best view of people. She will be dearly missed.

Aunty Doreen was an avid animal lover, and this says volumes about her character; she spoke to animals like they were equals, always aware of their needs and wants. Elsie the Goose is one such creature who springs to mind. Elsie was like a pet who followed Aunty Doreen around the Levels farm, aware of her place, but also so happy in Aunty's company. The goose would respond to commands with such ease and happiness.

Uncle Joe and Aunty Doreen shared a cottage with us at my brother's wedding some years ago in Melbourne, and we had a great time enjoying the same sense of humour.

I know that you will be with Uncle Joe in a peaceful part of heaven Aunty Doreen, looking out onto green fields with South Canterbury mountain views behind. Godspeed, Aunty, and may flights of Angels sign thee to thy rest

love Vanessa and family xxxx

Wonderful memories of many hours spent with you at Levels, Aunty Doreen. Many wonderful meals and the most divine baking.

Thanks for always supporting me and being kind to my family.

Thanks also for your love and kindness for animals. You and my Mum were great examples of how to care for those smaller creatures.

Love to you and Uncle Joe, together again. Please give my love to my Mum and Dad, who I'm sure were waiting for you with Uncle Joe. Plus the others who died before you.
